Project EngineerField Engineer

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer/Field Engineer to join our construction management team supporting a Land Port of Entry project in San Diego County. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in building a career in construction and project management on a major public infrastructure program.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day construction management and field activities.
• Track RFIs submittals change orders maintain project calendars meeting action items and project documentation.
• Conduct field walks and assist with documenting construction progress and site conditions.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports meeting minutes photographs and project records.
• Assist with schedule cost quality safety inspection and contractor coordination.
• Support project closeout and turnover activities.
• Coordinate with SANDAG contractors consultants and other project stakeholders.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Architecture Engineering or a related technical field.
• 03 years of experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior construction experience or internships are helpful but not required.
• Strong communication organizational and computer skills.
• Basic ability to read construction drawings and specifications preferred.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Procore Primavera P6 or similar construction software is a plus.
• Ability to work in both a project office and active construction-site environment.

This is an entry-level developmental position offering hands-on experience working alongside experienced construction and project management professionals on the Otay Mesa East Port of Entry a complex binational transportation and border infrastructure program.

Additional Information :

The salary range for this full-time role is $70k-$82K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on candidates experience and qualifications.
