Job Summary
Winter Environmental is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale industrial environmental remediation demolition and specialty contracting projects throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in industrial construction and environmental services. Youll work alongside experienced project managers and field leaders on technically challenging projects in active industrial commercial and institutional environments.
The ideal candidate is organized motivated willing to travel and eager to learn in a fast-paced production-driven environment.
This position is based in Atlanta GA and requires travel to project sites as needed. Company-paid travel expenses are provided.
What Youll Do
- Support project management and field operations teams on active projects
- Read and interpret project plans specifications and drawings
- Assist with estimating budgeting quantity takeoffs and scheduling
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Support development of work plans logistics planning and project schedules
- Track RFIs addenda clarifications and bid documentation
- Assist with proposals and bid submissions
- Attend site visits and document existing conditions
- Coordinate with subcontractors vendors clients and field personnel
- Assist with project reporting documentation and cost tracking
Projects may include:
- Industrial demolition and decommissioning
- Environmental remediation
- Hazardous material abatement
- Manufacturing and industrial facility shutdowns
- Commercial and institutional projects
- Specialty environmental services
What Were Looking For
- Associates or Bachelors degree in:
- Construction Management
- Environmental Science
- Environmental Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Or related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook and Bluebeam
- Willingness to travel as projects require
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred:
- Internship or co-op experience in construction environmental or industrial services
- Experience reviewing construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with estimating or scheduling software
- OSHA 10/30 or HAZWOPER certifications
