Job Summary
Project Controls Accountant
NextEra Energys Engineering & Construction (E&C) Project Controls team is seeking a contract accounting professional to develop and implement processes for tracking inventory and storage costs while supporting core accounting and project controls activities.
This role will help ensure project-related financial transactions are accurately recorded monitored and reported.
- Develop implement and maintain processes for tracking inventory and storage costs.
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries.
- Complete monthly accruals and account reconciliations.
- Track and monitor invoices to support timely processing and payment.
- Support month-end close activities and financial reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and document accounting procedures.
- Bachelors degree or higher in accounting finance or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred.
- Strong accounting background with experience supporting project-related financial activities.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Detail Orientated.
- Highly skilled in Excel.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- SAP experience is required.
- SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) experience is preferred.
- Power BI experience is preferred.
