Job Summary
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Configure cameras for deployment (network configuration views streams etc.)
- Commissioning cameras (predominantly Axis cameras) based on industry best practices
- Assist VMS Admin in developing and maintaining Genetec VMS System
- Assist in Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and cabling installation
- Assist in CCTV coverage design
- Work with vendors to facilitate and troubleshoot CCTV and cabling installation
- Familiarity with IP networking (VLANs PoE IP addressing etc.)
- Assist with reviewing and writing technical documentation
- Assist with basic Genetec System functions and troubleshooting (user access issues and new user account)
- Attention to detail and ability to follow commissioning processes
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Available after hours / On Call
- Perform related duties as directed.
Mandatory Skills:
- Three (3) years servicing CCTV applications
- One (1) year working with CCTV cameras.
- One-Three (1-3) years using CCTV a coverage software (for example Site Designer IPVM CAD etc.)
- B.S in Computer Science Engineering or related field. OR
- High School Diploma with Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience working in anenterprise infrastructure environment in addition to the time required in the Minimum Qualifications.
Desirable Skills:
- Entry/Intermediate experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- General experience using drawing tools (AutoCAD etc.).
- General experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow etc.)
- General experience with programming and configuring ASCII-based communication interfaces for data exchange between ProWatch and Genetec and other access control security systems
- Preferred Certifications:
- Genetec Security Center 5.x Enterprise
- AXIS Certified Professional
