Programmer Analyst I – Store Systems

Job Summary
URM Stores Inc. is looking for a talented Programmer Analyst to join our ever growing Store Systems team here at our Corporate office in Spokane WA. Youll support the core systems that keep stores running. This role focuses on development support and integration of store technology including POS payments and data flows across the enterprise.
Youll work inside a product team that owns store systems end to end. That means you build it support it and improve it. You will handle day-to-day issues deliver enhancements and help stabilize operations across member stores.
This is an a career role with real production responsibility.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Application Development & Support
- Develop test and maintain code supporting store systems and integrations.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for POS and store applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause resolution.
- Participate in on-call rotation for store systems support.
Store Systems (POS & Payments)
- Support POS platforms payment processing systems and store back-office systems.
- Assist with configuration deployment and upgrades of store technologies.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve system defects and outages.
- Ensure uptime and performance across store environments.
Integration & Data Interchange
- Build and support APIs and integration services connecting store systems to enterprise platforms.
- Maintain data flows between POS ERP warehouse and reporting systems.
- Troubleshoot data issues across interfaces and downstream systems.
- Support file-based and real-time integrations.
Reporting & Analytics Support
- Assist in development and support of operational and financial reporting tied to store systems.
- Validate data accuracy across POS and enterprise systems.
- Support data extraction and transformation for analytics use cases.
Team & Delivery
- Work within a product team structure with shared ownership and accountability.
- Participate in sprint planning backlog grooming and delivery cycles.
- Document systems processes and support procedures.
- Follow coding testing and deployment standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience supporting or developing store systems (grocery or retail preferred).
- Hands-on experience with POS systems and payment processing environments.
- Experience developing or supporting APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications integrations and data flows.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with REST services JSON and integration patterns.
- Ability to support production systems in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in grocery retail or cooperative environments.
- Exposure to POS platforms such as NCR Toshiba RORC or ECRS.
- Experience with integration platforms (Boomi MuleSoft or similar).
- Knowledge of payment technologies (credit debit EMV settlement flows).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern architecture patterns.

Salary $43 - $48 hourly Depending on experience plus so much more!
