Job Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

CSETs Sequoia Community Corps is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide clerical support for the Case Management Team. The right candidate will be able to work in a high-functioning environment with multiple programs.

This individual will have experience in data entry Microsoft Office filing and office equipment and will be a team player with a can-do attitude. Strong communication writing time management comprehension and the ability to work with little to no supervision are a must. Experience in maintaining inventory is desired. A clean DMV record and the ability to be added to our vehicle insurance are required.

SCOPE OF WORK

This position is responsible for providing clerical support to the Back2Work case management team. The incumbent of this position will be an independent person willing to work in a high-functioning environment with the ability to adapt frequently throughout the day. Ability to drive company vehicles is required.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Maintains attendance records for all worksites
  • Verifies sign-in sheet counts
  • Prepares and distributes monthly safety calendar
  • Prepares program paperwork packets
  • Updates job board with new leads weekly
  • Maintains safety gear and uniform inventory count
  • Performs weekly sanitation of all commonly used work areas
  • Provides clerical support for all program staff including making copies filing and recordkeeping
  • Distributes uniforms
  • Supports staff during marketing presentations enrollments etc. (e.g. making copies of I-9 documents during enrollments or assisting with set up/break down of orientation and safety presentations)
  • Serves as a liaison between participants and staff
  • Organizes commonly used work areas
  • Responsible for the safe use of any and all tools assigned to this position as well as the care and maintenance of all SCC-CSET tools and equipment
  • Adheres to SCC discipline procedures and program goals and mission
  • Helps create positive crew morale and build teamwork by working alongside the leadership team
  • Learns to complete all forms associated with accurate documentation of work performed
  • May include community service at community events community outreach and community education regarding environmental issues (this position will not include fundraising political action and/or advocacy)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Knowledgeable in modern office procedures and methods; proficient in the use of a computer Windows operating system Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel and Access) and program databases
  • Strong communication skills research abilities flexibility and an ability to work well with others
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Knowledge of the local labor market and employer expectations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of the various company programs and the ability to communicate policy information in a clear and detailed manner
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal/no supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form
WORK CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to sit walk and stand for long periods
  • Must have the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens)
  • Must be able to bend stoop and reach
  • Must be able to exert physical effort in light to moderate work involving lifting carrying pushing and pulling at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to read understand and explain various forms and written material
COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $18.64 $19.29 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with California and federal law.
