Program Manager, Family Medicine Residency

Job Summary

Position Summary:
Manages residency program by acting as the key staff liaison between Program Director and the residents medical students and the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota. Responsible together with the Program Director for upholding compliance with ACGME accreditation program requirements. This includes maintaining current knowledge of ACGME and American Board of Family Medicine Residency Review Committee and Board curricular requirements and guidelines. Monitors compliance and addresses any violations of these requirements ensuring that the programs educational and learning objectives are not compromised. Understands and uses multiple software programs including internal and external scheduling and evaluation tools electronic residency application service software and electronic medical records. Facilitates timely and accurate communication flow for the faculty and residents. Supervises and coordinates schedules for residents faculty and students in multiple locations. Partner with clinic leadership on creating managing and maintaining clinician schedules. Ensures development and distribution of curriculum and evaluations for resident rotations and other educational experiences. Develops implements and oversees the entire process of recruitment including review of application documents scheduling of interviews and managing an extensive orientation program for new residents. Oversees administrative support personnel.
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- Between the hours of 7:30am-5:00pm
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required
Required Qualifications:
- Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Two years college or equivalent
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of computer and web-based software: Microsoft Word Excel Power Point Residency Management Software Electronic Residency Application Service and Electronic Medical Records.
Candidates for this position must possess strong interpersonal skills.
Must be detail-oriented provide outstanding customer service and possess the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Bachelors degree.
- Experience in Graduate Medical Education is preferred
