Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Program Manager 3 to join our team of qualified diverse individuals within our organization/business unit supporting the Strike Program on site in Melbourne FL.

Please Note: This position is on-site in Melbourne FL and cannot be performed

remotely due to the nature of the role.

The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on schedule and on cost while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Build IPT Leaders are responsible for leading a multidisciplined team for requirements development production and testing of the Strike Manufacturing Team. The Strike Manufacturing Operations Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:

IPT leadership & execution

Lead and direct cross-functional Strike Manufacturing Operations IPTs to achieve program cost schedule and technical performance objectives.
Plan and execute the teams statement of work; remove cross-functional constraints and resolve execution issues.
Program management (cost/schedule/performance)

Establish and manage budgets milestones and master schedules; ensure targets are realistic and achievable.
Monitor measure and report program performance; identify problems and drive solutions (including resource allocation).
Serve as Cost Account Manager for the Product Build IPT including P&L responsibility across program stakeholders.
Ensure accurate transparent financial reporting and develop business case analyses for cost/schedule mitigation decisions.
Maintain strong communications with Program Office leadership customers and audit agencies.
Prepare and deliver briefings/presentations to customers executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Risk & opportunity management

Own the teams risk/issue/opportunity process (identify mitigate realize and track to closure).
Contracts & compliance

Participate in negotiations for contracts/changes specifications budgets schedule milestones and key terms/conditions.
Ensure adherence to internal processes/policies and applicable industry standards; manage Government/customer-furnished property or information.
Continuous improvement quality & customer satisfaction

Establish manufacturing/design criteria that support continuous improvement.
Deliver quality products and customer satisfaction.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below OR a Masters degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below:

Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management program management engineering capture efforts and/or business management related functions.

3 years of demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal within quality schedule and cost requirements.

Earn Value Management Systems (EVMS) Knowledge.

MS Office Suite Experience (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook etc.)

Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determine by the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

ProgramProject Management experience within an IPT work environment.

Experience communicating verbally written and visually with contract stakeholders and multiple levels of leadership.

Knowledge of Northrop Grumman Manufacturing & Operations Policies and Procedures.

Experience with Change/Configuration Management and managing through the change board process.

Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Usage and SAP Knowledge.

Certified CAM &/or Prior EVMS Certification or demonstrated capability.

A degree in a science engineering or a business program.

Experience with Government contracting and supplier management.

Experience with aircraft build processes and documentation.

Experience leading manufacturing and flight-test activities.

Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance or higher last investigated within the last 5 years.

Special Program Access.

Primary Level Salary Range: $166700.00 - $250100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience education skills and current market conditions.
