Program Management Manager (Federal Environmental Remediation)

AECOM is seeking a Program Management Manager Federal Environmental Remediation to lead and oversee complex environmental restoration and compliance programs supporting federal government clients in the Pacific Northwest. This role will provide programmatic leadership for multidisciplinary teams delivering large-scale environmental investigation remediation and restoration projects at military and federal facilities.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in environmental consulting program management client engagement and technical delivery with experience managing federally funded remediation programs from planning through execution. This position offers the opportunity to lead high-visibility projects develop client relationships mentor project teams and drive innovative environmental solutions that support mission-critical federal infrastructure and environmental stewardship objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead program delivery for multiple environmental remediation and restoration projects supporting federal government clients.
• Manage project portfolios including scope schedule budget quality risk management and resource allocation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for federal agency stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams consisting of environmental scientists engineers geologists planners and subcontractors.
• Oversee environmental investigations remedial design remedial actions site characterization risk assessments and long-term monitoring programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations including CERCLA RCRA NEPA and related regulatory frameworks.
• Develop strategic project execution plans and monitor performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.
• Support business development efforts including capture planning proposal preparation client presentations and contract growth initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project managers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with regional and national leadership to support operational excellence and program expansion.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering Civil Engineering Environmental Science Geology or a related field and 8 years of environmental consulting and program management experience supporting federal environmental remediation projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A valid drivers license is required along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
• Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.
• Successful completion of applicable drug screens is required.
• Travel up to 50% may be required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Engineering Civil Engineering Geology Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• 25 years of experience managing environmental remediation and restoration programs for federal government clients.
• Experience overseeing large geographically dispersed environmental restoration portfolios.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Professional Geologist (PG) or other relevant professional registration.
• Experience with environmental compliance and restoration programs at military installations and other federal facilities.
• Proven success managing large IDIQ MATOC or other federal contracting vehicles.
• Strong business development and federal client relationship management experience.
