Job Summary
Position Summary A Program Leader Sub is responsible for managing a classroom ensuring student safety and facilitating the daily implementation of each program. Programs may include but are not limited to: sports STEM Coding nutrition outdoor education and creative arts. Working hours are based on site need and employees availability.
Work ScheduleDays: Available a minimum of 2 days a weekHours: Be able to arrive at work by 2 PM and work until 6 PM Primary Role and ResponsibilitiesSupport student mastery of new skills through project-based learningMaintain a culture of safety and well-being with students in both the classroom and outdoor settingEstablish clear consistent expectations for behavior and positive that every student feels known accepted valued and and maintain a high level of trust through effective communication and promote the mission and values of ProYouth through appropriate appearance words and individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g. classroom playground library etc.) for the purpose of enforcing school and ProYouth expectations and procedures regarding student behavior and participation and/or providing a safe respectful and positive learning in conjunction with the Site Director and all program staff to ensure that activities are exciting and relevant to youth as well as well-thought out and issues concerns and challenges to immediate supervisorBuild positive and professional relationships with coworkers supervisors ProYouth executive and administrative staff site principal teachers and in professional development staff meetings site training and professional learning communitiesParticipate as a positive team member for the purpose of enhancing and sharing knowledge and skills for the delivery of best other related duties as necessary or assigned within the scope and range of knowledge base and training.
Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent AND48 completed College Units ORNCLB Paraprofessional CertificationA minimum of two years experience working with youth is desirable
