Job Description

The University of Nevada School of Medicine is recruiting for a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator Project Extension for Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) Nevada supports both the Senior Program Manager and Program Manager to develop implement and facilitate educational activities and programmatic sessions. This individual is responsible for facilitating the flow of information between faculty participants and a variety of local regional and national stakeholders. This position conducts marketing outreach and recruitment activities integral to the program to disseminate information regarding areas of interest in and forthcoming ECHO programs to relevant networks. The Program Coordinator also serves as the key liaison between all project sites and partners providing oversight and communication across multiple entities and addition the individual works with the

Office of Statewide Initiatives (OSI) on targeted health workforce initiatives including health services activities of the office and technical assistance requests by rural hospitals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the development planning implementation and evaluation of Project ECHO educational activities to enhance the knowledge base of healthcare and public health professionals through case consultations with subject matter experts
  • Coordinate the logistics and programmatic aspects for successful program implementation including but not limited to curriculum development and session-wise materials target audience selection and recruitment activities onboarding of participants and faculty recruitment and collection of case reviews and participant follow-up support
  • Coordinate activities and facilitate meetings with a variety of individuals from within OSI UNR Med NSHE community agencies state agencies healthcare organizations as well as higher education healthcare and government agencies in other states
  • Conduct programmatic marketing outreach and recruitment activities to meet attendance targets and ensure program impact
  • Assist with site visits intended to maintain relationships with existing and develop relationships with new sites to promote the program and conduct needs assessments

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a masters degree and one year of related work experience

Related Experience: Experience in program coordination or program management; community outreach education public health healthcare or related work.
