Role: Program CoordinatorReports to: Director of Member ServicesProgram: 1200-K9 ConnectionDepartment: K9Location: Arlington Administration - 2116 Arlington Ave. Suite 100 Los Angeles CA 90018Setting: 100% OnsiteSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm occasional weekends and eveningsStatus:Full-time/Exempt/Non-ManagementBenefits:Medical Vision Dental Life Insurance 403(b) Retirement plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) : 1Summary:The K9 Connections Program Coordinator supports the coordination and implementation of The People Concerns pet program services including pet clinics pet pantries training programs spay and neuter collaborations outreach activities and other community-based pet support services for members experiencing homelessness or housing position focuses on high-quality member service day-to-day program coordination and support for the ongoing delivery and improvement of K9 Connections programming. The Coordinator also supports community engagement efforts by assisting with volunteer coordination donor engagement and partnership activities that strengthen program Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the K9 Connections program including responding to emails phone calls member requests case management referrals andgeneral program inquiries in a timely and professional a welcoming organized and accessible program environment ensuring K9Connections office and service spaces are clean organized and prepared for memberservices meetings tours and partner support to members through compassionate consultation resource navigationand coordination of pet-related services referrals and problem solving related tohousing working knowledge of community resources veterinary services pet supportprograms foster and rehoming networks and referral pathways to support effectiveservice with internal departments and external partners to support coordinatedservice delivery and alignment with agency-wide the coordination and implementation of K9 Connections programs and activities including pet pantries wellness clinics training programs outreach eventsspay and neuter collaborations foster support rehoming services and the development and maintenance of positive working relationships withmembers staff volunteers donors veterinary partners trainers communitystakeholders and collaborative K9 Connections at assigned networking events partner meetings trainingsconferences outreach activities and other external engagement coordination of volunteers interns foster participants and communitypartners by assisting with scheduling communication onboarding support traininglogistics and day-to-day program coordination. Respond to volunteer foster andrehoming inquiries and assist with follow-up communication and service with the development and facilitation of educational materials presentationstraining videos demonstrations and pet care resources for members staff trainingsoutreach activities and community engagement and update the K9 Connections SharePoint page with current schedulesprogram information announcements resources and educational the maintenance cleanliness organization and readiness of the K9 van andprogram equipment for outreach activities clinics and community accurate inventory of supplies equipment donations pet food and clinicmaterials and support ordering organization distribution and restocking of program logistics including clinic preparation event scheduling participanttracking flyer distribution data entry support and coordination of requests from casemanagers members volunteers and accurate program records including participant information clinicdocumentation inventory logs and service tracking through agency databasesspreadsheets SharePoint and reporting and organize registration forms vaccination records rabies documentation andparticipant/pet files for entry into program databases and tracking in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual reports including program statistics narratives outcomes and grant-related compliance with grant requirements contracts agency policies reporting deadlines safety standards confidentiality requirements and program documentation expectationsQualifications:High School diploma or GED required; bachelors degree preferredCurrent valid California Drivers License with an acceptable driving recordDetail oriented with excellent time management organizational written verbal and computer skillsAble to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certificationPreferred Qualifications:A BFA or BA degreetwo (2) years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness preferably those navigating mental health conditions and/or substance use Environment:Combination of field and office required to sit stand bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 occasion walk or drive to different local necessitate working in busy and loud be exposed to elements like cold heat dust noise and need to bend stoop twist and sit throughout the day.
