The Opportunity:
Washington State Universitys Office of Admissions is now accepting applications for a Program Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional seeking experience in enrollment management higher education administration and student services! As a Program Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the Office of Admissions through a combination of application review records management student communication and administrative support. Under general supervision you will review and process undergraduate applications for admission and exercise independent judgment in supporting admissions decisions. As a vital behind-the-scenes contributor you will manage confidential information maintain student records and assist with clerical and operational projects that ensure efficient admissions processes. Through this work you will directly contribute to student success and the universitys enrollment objectives.
Upon successful completion of the employees 6-month probationary period and training this position may be eligible for a hybrid telework agreement. All telework agreements are assessed and extended on a semester basis.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3565 to $4746 Range 39 (Step A-M) Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated computer software skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as: Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the admissions process.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel Adobe and Outlook.
Experience with WSU Student Information System.
Experience with Slate CRM.
Experience working with student records.
