Job Summary
This position is located in the Bureau of African Affairs (AF) Executive office (EX) Remote Support Division (RSD) Department of State (DOS).
- Conducts complex data analysis to evaluate program effectiveness inform policy decisions and assess the impact of legislation or regulations.
- Oversees contract and project performance by monitoring progress evaluating contractor achievement of goals and assessing risk to ensure effective operations and compliance with regulations.
- Provides technical guidance on data analysis and automation opportunities to enhance program efficiency including evaluating processes and recommending improvements.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Statement of Employment & Financial Interest required prior to appointment.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions per 5CFR 300 Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience in translating complex data analytics concepts into clear concise reports and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Analyzing and evaluating Bureau or Department functions related to data analyst projects.
- Experience utilizing software/or programs to conduct data analysis.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
