Job Summary
The Charleston WV office of Modjeski and Masters Inc is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 5 years of Bridge Design Experience working on WVDOT projects.
- Minimum BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
- A minimum of 5years of related Bridge Design working on WVDOT projects
- Valid WV PE license
- Review and check structural design calculations
- Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using analysis software
- Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
- Provide information for design reports.
- Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
- Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
- Review and check drawings.
- Use engineering analysis software such as LUSASAASHTOWare BrRLEAP Bridge MicroStation etc.
- Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications including: AASHTO AREMA AISC ACI etc
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned including field inspection assignments
