Professional Civil Engineer Bridge Design (55590)

The Charleston WV office of Modjeski and Masters Inc is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 5 years of Bridge Design Experience working on WVDOT projects.

• Minimum BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
• A minimum of 5years of related Bridge Design working on WVDOT projects
• Valid WV PE license

• Review and check structural design calculations
• Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using analysis software
• Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
• Provide information for design reports.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
• Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
• Review and check drawings.
• Use engineering analysis software such as LUSASAASHTOWare BrRLEAP Bridge MicroStation etc.
• Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications including: AASHTO AREMA AISC ACI etc
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned including field inspection assignments
