This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As aProduction Support Specialistyou will be part of a vertically integrated Manufacturing And Development Team. This is a boots-on-the-ground role. This is for the tinkers the makers the creators the pioneers the problem solvers and those who own their role as if they are going to fly on the vehicle. We are building a road to space. The path is long with challenges every step of the way but not without opportunities to do extraordinary things make a difference and leave a legacy. Responsibilities:
Work directly with leadership to support various team initiatives this includes but not limited to team building events and functions.
Requisitioning receiving storing and issuing inventory tooling consumables and other assets to technicians and operators.
Maintain clean and safe work areas following company policies and industry best practices (5S).
Must be able to work well with others take direction and execute swiftly be mindful of process improvement opportunities and be able to problem solve.
Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production Control to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
Work cross functionally to expedite any material shortages.
Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission.
Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.
Prepare for conduct and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts and site audits.
Identify catalog and report manufacturing delays sources and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors and Managers
Operate various equipment in support of daily operations. This includes but not limited to forklifts pallet jacks hoists lift tables etc. to ensure safe hardware handling operations.
Assist in the implementation of a robust materials management process that reflects best practices to include material purchasing handling storage control and distribution of MRO inventory.
Identify catalog and report manufacturing delays sources and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors and Managers
Aggressively enforce safe material handling practices
Qualifications:
High School Diploma Accredited GED or equivalent vocational certifications or training
2 year of Inventory Control Tool Crib and/or Material Handling Experience or 2 year of Administrative Experience.
Experience working with a cross functional team.
Demonstrated understanding and can apply continuous improvement concepts.
Ability to safely drive a forklift and perform acute work.
Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted.
Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
Strong computer skills familiar with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
Flexible to work varied shifts overtime weekends and travel on occasion.
Must be able to pass DBIDS background check. Role will be on a military installation.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
