Production Supervisor
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading small work teams in a fastpaced highvolume unionized manufacturing environment. The supervisor ensures daily performance targets for safety quality cost and delivery are met while fostering a highperformance safetyfocused culture. This role requires strong coordination with crossfunctional teams and consistent application of work rules. Initial training may occur on day shift with placement likely on 2nd or 3rd shift. Candidates must be open to any shift including weekends to meet overtime and production needs. Key Responsibilities Supervise 3040 hourly employees in a unionized environment Maintain staffing levels including managing calloffs and reassignments Drive continuous improvement using Lean SIS WCM or similar methodologies Coach lead and develop team members to improve performance Collaborate with plant pillars and crossfunctional teams Enforce consistent work rules and support a positive labormanagement relationship Identify and resolve production issues promptly and effectively MustHave Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities Proven experience supervising or managing people | |
Requirements
Must have Supervisory Experience. Preferred experience in a Manufacturing workforce. Must be available for all shift and weekend work.
Manufacturing experience (highly preferred) in a Manufacturing workforce.
Prior experience leading a crew or production team
Experience working in a union environment
Background with Lean WCM Kaizen SIS or other CI methodologies
Additional Notes
Union experience is not required; however emotional control professionalism and strong communication are essential.
Any Leanrelated continuous improvement experience is acceptable; SIS training will be provided.
Only candidates meeting all musthave requirements will be submitted.
