Job Summary

PURPOSEGain hands-on manufacturing operations and production leadership experience through daily business interactions operational assignments and continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor Intern will support production operations while developing knowledge of manufacturing processes workforce engagement safety practices inventory management and operational excellence. Work is performed under direct DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluates production workflows and operational processes toidentifyopportunities for efficiency improvements productivity gains and process with production teams and lead workers to communicate daily weekly and monthly production goals while learning effective workforce engagement and leadership monitoring production performance tracking key metrics and providing feedback on accomplishments challenges and improvement manufacturing operations including inventory management unloading storage movement of raw materials and staging of finished products for shipping and andparticipatesin production planning activities to better understand scheduling capacityutilization and operational perform duties such as gathering analyzing and organizing data to support departmental projects process improvement initiatives and operational in team meetings training sessions and brainstorming activities focused on safety quality productivity and continuous with safety standards operational procedures and quality expectations within the manufacturing with cross-functional teams including operations maintenancelogistics inventory and quality teams to support exposure to production supervision employee engagement lean manufacturing concepts performance management and operational leadership RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability be actively pursuing a Bachelors degree. Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher. Prefer junior or senior level but will consider other class levels.
