Job Summary
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations on the production floor to ensure efficiency quality and safety standards are met. This role leads a team of production employees coordinates workflow resolves issues in real time and ensures production targets and deadlines are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor workflow assign tasks and manage labor to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment; enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
- Provide on-the-floor coaching direction and feedback to production staff; assist in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Troubleshoot production issues equipment breakdowns or delays in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.
- Ensure accurate reporting of production metrics downtime scrap and other operational data.
- Lead start-of-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and expectations clearly to the team.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to uphold product standards and quickly address quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team engagement in problem-solving.
- Manage timekeeping attendance and basic administrative tasks for team members.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree required bachelors degree preferred or 5 years experience in manufacturing in lieu of degree
- At least three (2) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production setting
- Strong understanding of production processes workflow management and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with production systems ERP software and basic Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours or shifts including overtime weekends or holidays as required.
Accountabilities:
- Achieve UPH productivity targets.
- Reduce Incident Reports.
- Maintain low scrap levels.
- Achieve Service Level goals.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Workforce training and development
- General maintenance and performance of the department.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand walk and move throughout the production floor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs bend stoop reach and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Exposure to noise temperature variations and industrial equipment.
The pay range for this position is $72989 $80455 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
