Production Supervisor 1st Shift Manchester Iowa
Transparent Search Group has been retained to identify a Production Supervisor for a manufacturing operation based in Manchester Iowa. This is a 1st shift leadership role suited for an experienced supervisor who is comfortable managing people processes and daily output on the floor. Candidates must be located in Iowa or willing to relocate independently as no relocation assistance is available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities on the 1st shift ensuring output targets and quality standards are met
- Supervise coach and develop a team of production associates
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities to maintain efficiency
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean compliant work environment
- Coordinate with maintenance quality and logistics teams to resolve operational issues
- Track and report key production metrics to plant management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives on the floor
- Manage attendance scheduling and performance documentation for direct reports
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and hold accountable a team of hourly employees
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing practices safety regulations and quality systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with basic production reporting tools or manufacturing software
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred
