Production Shift Supervisor – Weekend Overnight Shift

Summary of Role:Under general supervision this position is responsible for supervising production and distribution center (DC) operations in a lean manufacturing packaging and warehouse environment; assisting the Senior Department Supervisor Operations in coordinating the processing of materials and/or products in the manufacturing packaging and warehouse facilities; supervising employees while monitoring production output and quality of products; and assuring products meet quality and delivery :Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) company policies safety policies and practices quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety quality and regulatory guidelines. Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and safety awareness within their area of responsibility. Support and enforce all plant safety policies and procedures in a fair and consistent the guidance of the Senior Department Supervisor Operations directs shift activities and processes to meet customer needs and assists with the capturing and reporting of plant with the Senior Department Supervisor Operations regarding staffing levels materials machines methods and with training employees in safety quality productivity and operational clear and factual feedback to Senior Department Supervisor Operations regarding corrective team in ensuring continuous improvement and lean opportunities are communicated and for ensuring that all sanitation and good housekeeping procedures and guidelines are other duties as :HS Diploma or GED required; Associates degree of 5 years of manufacturing and/or packaging experience including leadership responsibility Competencies & Attributes:Excellent communications skills ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media verbal written to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment calm under pressure and flexibility to direct work force and adapt to changing schedules as with MS Office Suite.
