Job Summary
What Were Looking For
The Production Service Technician employee will repair install adjust or maintain industrial production and processing machinery. This position will also install dismantle or move machinery and heavy equipment according to plans while preforming daily weekly monthly quarterly and annual preventative maintenance.
What You Will Do
Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections testing or repairs.
Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters or other testing devices.
Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
Clean lubricate or adjust parts equipment or machinery.
Analyze test results machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
Record repairs and maintenance performed.
Study blueprints or manufacturers manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary.
Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts fabricate new parts or assemble new equipment.
Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by contributing to related organizational projects as needed
Work effectively with peers departmental managers to ensure an effective flow of communication materials and resources
Promote and assure the execution of the PCCA values culture and quality
Ensure that department objectives are in line with corporate objectives
Complies with all Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regulations when discarding non-hazardous and hazardous waste
Complies with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
Who You Are
GED or High School Diploma
5 years or more of experience in mechanical environment
Experience managing results and performance through metrics and process improvement
Perfer EPA Section 608 Certification
Perfer HVAC Excellence Certification or desire to get them
Perfer OSHA Certified or desire to get them
Perfer Certified Water Professional Certification or desire to get them
Physical Requirements
Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking standing or crouching on narrow slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
Bending legs downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Moving about on foot to accomplish task particularly for long distances.
Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw drag haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting up to 50 pounds
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally to lift carry pull or otherwise move objects.
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving object horizontally from position to position.
Standing particularly for sustained periods of time.
Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist hands and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward downward or outward.
Ascending or descending stairs ramps ladders scaffolding and the like using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
