Production Planner

Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedule for the manufacturing of tunable optical filter chips
- Monitor production progress and adjust production schedules to address priority changes delays and equipment downtime
- Manage wafer and chip inventory conduct physical counts and maintain accurate records of products
- Coordinate material requirements and procurements to ensure adequate production resources
- Inspect and prepare products for shipping to customers
Education
- BS in industrial engineering supply chain management business administration or a related field
Experience & Skills
- 2 years of experience in production planning or similar role
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle and SAP
- Proficiency in MS Excel or other data analysis tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask prioritize and manage production in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to coordinate with team members and ensure production efficiency and optimal resource utilization
Working Conditions
- This position is on-site
- May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
- May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executives needs
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing writing and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
