Production Manager Die Casting

Automotive parts maker needs a Production Manager to run its Die Casting manufacturing department. This position requires a very strong background in die casting processes. Your primary goals will be to improve safety delivery cost and quality.

• With safety first in mind you will lead continuous improvement following the principles of the Toyota Production System.
• Work with Quality to set goals including scrap reduction reduction in customer complaints and reporting of non-conformances.
• Evaluate and improve manpower layout 5-S standardization and organization layout.
• Work with maintenance to improve machine uptime.
• Provide data driven analyses of manufacturing problems.
• This position will require travel by plane and car 10-20%.

Qualifications :

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or related major
• Must have deep experience of the die casting process especially of automotive parts
• Must have at least three years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience in driving quality cost delivery times and safety improvements.
• Must be committed to the use of metrics to understand production trends and weak points.
