Position Overview:
Proterra is looking for a Production Associate to join our Battery Production team in Greenville this role you will support battery pack and module line assembly operations contributing to the manufacturing of clean energy solutions. You will report to the Site Production Supervisor and work collaboratively alongside other Production team members in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
About the Role You will:
Assemble component parts into completed battery pack and module line units while maintaining established quality standards
Perform adjustments setups and troubleshooting of equipment as needed
Maintain acceptable performance standards across safety quality production output and housekeeping (5S)
Follow all quality and process standards; inspect work to ensure compliance
Inspect parts and completed units using visual inspection gauges check fixtures and other inspection equipment
Identify abnormalities in the assembly process and participate in developing solutions
Engage in continuous improvement activities
Other duties as assigned by management

Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented and resourceful with sound judgment and problem-solving ability
Collaborative team player who treats others with respect
Customer-focused with a high level of professionalism
Basic computer skills
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Your Experience Includes:
High school diploma or equivalent
13 years of experience in high-volume assembly manufacturing; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
13 years of experience operating automated equipment preferred
Familiarity with torque tools and common hand tools including wrenches wire strippers screwdrivers and drills
Ability to read and follow written work instructions
Physical & Environmental Demands
Lifting up to 25 pounds regularly; up to 50 pounds occasionally. Modules up to 83 pounds require a two-person lift
Ability to stand for up to 100% of shift; crouch carry and reach frequently; work in both large and confined spaces
Good eye/hand coordination; ability to identify color variations depth perception and close or distance visual details
Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with variable temperature conditions (heat and cold)
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including respiratory protection as required
May be exposed to irritant chemicals and gases
Ability to work various shifts as needed; occasional travel to other locations may be requested (010%)
