Product Support Engineer OFC

As a Product Support Engineeryou will be the on-site technical authority and primary liaison between the manufacturing facility andproductengineering ensuring thatproduction processes quality standards and technical specifications are strictly met. You will be asked to resolve technical issues optimize manufacturing processes and minimize downtime by providing proactive and reactivesupporton the factory floor.

You will ensure quality control and compliance by performing on-site inspections of components and assemblies to ensure compliance with drawingsengineering specifications and quality standards. You will troubleshoot and problem solve by leading and resolving design or machine issues that causeproduction downtime. You will actively bridge the gap between suppliers manufacturing andproductengineering to facilitate communication report on issues and help to ensure swift resolution to issues. You will provide post-sales technicalsupportto ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high-quality standards.

This position will be located at ourRushville Indiana facility.

AS A PRODUCT SUPPORT ENGINEER YOU WILL:

• Manage and coordinate efforts among cross functional teams to complete projects

• Provide productengineeringsupport including managing pilot parts pilot runs and pilot data and coordinating ECN status to operations and writing deviations if required.

• Provide supportfor plant operations includingsupportingproduction and manufacturing as well as in plant quality andengineering needs.

• Lead troubleshooting activities to solve customer plant orengineering problems.

• Contribute to quality improvement projects.

• Brainstorm and lead cost improvement projects.

• Analyze and present data as needed.

• Demonstrate understanding of functional role.

REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelors degree Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical field. Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

• Attention to detail strong organization skills and the ability to work independently or with a team are a must for success in this role.

• Results-driven personality with a customer service mindset is a plus.

• Strong communication skills whether written verbal or otherwise required especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.

• Must be willing to travel domestically up to 25%.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Prior experience as a technical services technician

• HVAC experience highly desired

Schedule

Assembly operates on a 4-day 10-hour work-shift schedule. Salaried employees who are not front-line supervisors work five days to support this arrangement. They can choose between working extended hours from Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday or they can opt for full eight-hour workdays from Monday to Friday.

About Our Location

Our 2-building campus offers a safe and clean work environment with a family atmosphere. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to like new status as well as manufacture crank shafts. Approximately 200 employees work in Rushville and are an integral part of our organization. A 2-building campus allows for learning and growth opportunities for all our team.
