Product Quality Technician

REIC Rentals is a leading manufacturer of industrial heating solutions serving the construction industrial and specialty rental industries across North America. We are looking for our first dedicated Product Quality Technician to help establish and maintain quality standards for our growing jet heater manufacturing operation in Troy MI.

As our Product Quality Technician youll play a critical role in ensuring every product leaving our facility meets REICs standards for quality safety and performance.

• Inspect reman and new jet engines.
• Inspect incoming materials components and finished goods from suppliers.

• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured jet heaters.

• Verify products meet engineering drawings specifications and quality standards.

• Identify document and communicate quality issues and product defects.

• Collaborate with Engineering Manufacturing Operations and suppliers to resolve quality concerns.

• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.

• Support the development and improvement of quality procedures and work instructions.

• Assist with testing product validation and evaluation of new products.

• Inspect retrofit kits and production assemblies for completeness and accuracy.

• Recommend process improvements that enhance product quality and manufacturing consistency.

• Support production teams while promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.

• Operate forklifts and company vehicles after required certifications are obtained.

• Travel occasionally to support supplier visits inspections or manufacturing activities.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.

• 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance assembly mechanical inspection or related technical work.

• Experience inspecting mechanical or industrial equipment.

• Knowledge of quality control methods and inspection techniques.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain:

• Forklift Operator Certification within six (6) months of hire

• DOT Certification within six (6) months of hire

• Frequently stand walk bend reach and inspect equipment.

• Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise dust moving equipment and varying temperatures.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
