Job Summary
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable; Work all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life; Provide production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods procedures and failure analysis; Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency; and Plan develop and implement technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon to be released products. 20% international travel required. 40 hours/week. At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Management or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:nnDeveloping Quality Programs and Control Plans including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Validation protocols for product risk managementnManaging New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness including executing Validation Plans with third-party vendors and suppliers (contract manufacturers) in high-volume production environmentsnUtilizing statistical analysis and data interpretation to assess production data enabling the detection and isolation of root causesnApplying quality engineering methodologies including Design of Experiments (DOE) Root Cause Analysis Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and technical Failure Analysis to investigate and resolve unit failuresnCommunicating complex technical updates and quality strategies to executive continuous improvement by tracking product reliability metrics including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and evaluating process limits to reduce manufacturing faultsnUtilizing mechanical and electrical engineering principles to effectively investigate and resolve product-related electronic assembly processes and implementing new manufacturing technologies to improve production quality capacity and efficiencynUtilizing data forensics and scripting tools like Tableau and JMP to investigate and resolve complex manufacturing assembly quality issues
