Product Marketing Manager

As a Product Marketing Manageryoull serve as a key member of our global product team providing strategy and roadmap planning and execution towardsdeveloping and maintaining comprehensive customer-focused solutions for the Plugs and Receptacles and Control Stations product portfolios.

This opportunity is based in Appleton Groups Global HQ in Rosemont ILlocation with the flexibility to work remotely one day a week.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Own comprehensive knowledge of the market competitive landscape customer requirements and distribution channels. Anticipate market and customer requirements for the product category. Be a passionate voice for the customer while leading cross-functional New Product Development.
• Develop business cases and product requirements documents for new products and product enhancements collaborating with a cross-functional team (engineering operations supply chain marketing communications sales) to refine concepts evaluate feasibility and communicate the business impact & solution value proposition.
• Perform ongoing analysis and propose necessary actions to ensure continued marketability of the product line.
• Lead cross-functional teams to enhance customer service experience by ensuring streamlined order processes and timely shipment fulfillment.
• Collaborate with the marketing communications and sales enablement team to define the go-to-market strategy to create demand within key market verticals.
• Travel as needed to visit customers distributors key industry and corporate events.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this role is $80000$110000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience skills qualifications and other job-related factors.

For This Role You Will Need

• BA/BS in Business Marketing Product Design or Engineering
• 4 years product/portfolio management (manufacturing) experience
• Proficient in Microsoft business applications
• Experience working in a leadership role on a product team or business process
• Ability to understand technical product concepts and help translate them into clear customer value
• Strong communication collaboration and presentation skills
• Ability to travel up to 25% annually

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Background in the electrical mechanical or industrial products industry
• MBA or Advanced Business Education
• Knowledge/experience with hazardous location products and certification standards particularly NEC/CEC standards
• Strong project management skills
• Global product experience and experience working with global teams
