Position Summary
The Product Manageris responsible formanaging the growthand profitability of a specified product portfoliothrough the entire life cycle of the products in alignment with and in support of the businessobjectivesof the Composite Materials GBU. This isaccomplishedthrough considerable communication and coordination with multiple GBU functions (Commercial IndustrialProcurementSupply Chain Quality Finance and R&I)utilizingexpert-level influencing and impact skills.
The PM position reports directly to the ProductLine Director.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the vision and strategy long-termgrowth &profitability
Act as a cross-functional product hub
Develop acustomer-centric product line strategy aligned with input from(among other functions)SalesCustomer EngineeringMarketingR&Iand Industrialand Asset Management
Support& championproduct line innovation&development &drive/coordinateNew Product Introduction (NPI).
Engage Strategic Purchasing to manage sourcing risks of key raw materials
Drive continuous improvement in product lines simplificationincluding product and asset rationalization
Institutionalize rapid decision making and information conveyance
Definecaptureandmaintainvalue - tactical analysis & execution
Decide on product guidelines: Pricingquality range service levels inventory guidelines
Supportdefinition and implementation of R&I and industrial improvement prioritiesbased on market & operations input; including new product development and capex projects
Leadcross-functional projectteamsto executekeyelements of the productline strategy.( Product Commercialization Portfolio Simplification)
Manage product line profitability at the contribution and gross margin levels
Activelyparticipateand supportcommercial excellence initiatives
Execute the productline roadmap and manage activities to align withoverallmanufacturingfootprintstrategy.
Develop internal production strategies (with Global Planners) tomaintainrequiredcustomerservice levels.
Lead the product allocation processin the event ofcapacity constraints(with Global Planners and Commercial)
Assistin the prioritization and ensure execution of plant level GMO activitiesMonitorproduct portfolio health (product setupoptimizationand rationalization)
Drivewith Global Qualitybroaderproductlinescustomer complaint investigations. Ensure quality issues are followed through and addressed (includingresitework)and lead product quality initiatives that increase the Customer Experience
Minimum Education
-Bachelors Degree in Science Engineering Business Finance or related
- MBA or marketing-related graduate degree a plus
Skills
- 5 plus years of relevant work experience in manufacturing tech development R&I marketing finance or commercial
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels inside and outside the company; developing close working relationships with key stakeholders
- Self-motivated takes initiative andis able towork multiple priorities at once
- Excellent leadership communicationcoordinationand influencing skills
-Demonstratedskills in participative decision making and collaborative problem solving
- Experience inconsolidatingdata analyzing and reporting results in a succinct and impactful way
- Understanding of manufacturing costs processanalysisand data tools
- Experience with investment analysis and financial cost modeling
- Ability to travel up to 20-30% of the time (regional and international).
Preferredlocation is US or Europe co-locatedatone of the CompositeMaterialsGBUsmanufacturing facilities.
You will get:
- Competitive salary and benefits package. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $112000 to 159600 per actual compensation packages ar based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
