Position Overview
We are currently seeking motivated individuals for a full-time Product Manager career opportunity in Alpena Michigan. This position is responsible for managing specific product lines and plays a critical role in expanding TILs footprint with food processors OEMs system integrators and bulk material handling operations across North America.
The Product Manager will work closely with Sales Estimating Purchasing Engineering Manufacturing and customers to ensure the correct product for each application is designed manufactured and delivered successfully. A continuous improvement mindset and passion for innovation are essential for sustaining growth and delivering high-quality solutions.
Candidates with the following skills knowledge experience and competencies will have an advantage in our hiring process:
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Five (5) or more years of relevant experience preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with an engineering degree will be considered.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is required.
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience including formulas and formatting.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes product development and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of operational management and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with customer experience strategies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the standardization inventory and quality control of equipment.
- Estimate equipment market costs margins and lead times.
- Review and audit manufacturing processes.
- Develop supplier relationships and negotiate terms aligned with company objectives.
- Research develop and improve equipment utilized by food processors plant managers engineers and integrators.
- Identify product limitations opportunities and future design improvements.
- Collaborate with the Sales Department to develop practical application-specific solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical application issues and provide effective resolutions.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across product lines.

- Coordinate cross-functional efforts between engineering manufacturing purchasing and sales teams.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance quality efficiency and profitability.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Represent the organization professionally in customer meetings and industry discussions.
- Execute strategic initiatives from planning through implementation.
Additional Knowledge & Experience
- Experience within manufacturing industrial or hygienic food material handling environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of products and processes that comply with food industry safety regulations including FDA and 3-A standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical leadership and accountability.
- Ability to build strong relationships and foster a positive work environment.
- Experience translating strategic objectives into actionable initiatives.
- Ability to professionally represent the organization in high-level meetings and discussions.
