Job Description:

• Under general supervision the candidate is responsible for the mechanical testing of various products which are used by patients with Diabetes for the administration of their therapy regiment.
• This includes both sharps and non-sharps products. Product testing responsibility will include new product development line extensions peripheral devices quality improvements the testing of competitive products and compatibility testing. Other responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment and support of day-to-day laboratory function and operation in conjunction with the R&D Engineers.
• Candidate will write or participate in the development of testing protocols operate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation such as force measurement equipment (Instron Chatillon etc..) linear measurement vision systems balances scales etc.
• Prepare and document all test data appropriately and communicate appropriately and accurately both orally and in writing to responsible Engineers(s). Coordinate with Metrology in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and devices as required.
• Candidate may help with moving equipment which will result in new test method validations.
• Candidate should have some familiarity with test method validations including gage R&Rs.
