Product Designer

Were hiring a Product Designer to lead the design of some of Chimes most important member experiences across Growth Spending or Lending. This is a highly influential individual contributor role for a designer who combines exceptional visual craft with systems thinking and product strategy. Youll help define not just how our products look and feel but what we build and whycreating experiences that millions of members rely on to make financial progress.

Youll partner closely with Product Engineering Research Data and Content Design to solve complex customer problems shape product direction and deliver elegant intuitive experiences from concept through launch. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $174000 and up to $245000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus competitive equity package and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher depending on your location skills qualifications and experience.

• Own the end-to-end design vision and execution for complex high-impact product initiatives across Growth Spending or Lending.
• Shape product strategy alongside Product Engineering Research and Data partners helping define what we buildnot just how it looks.
• Transform ambiguous opportunities into elegant intuitive experiences that simplify financial decision-making for millions of members.
• Design polished production-ready user experiences across mobile and web with exceptional attention to visual craft interaction design accessibility and usability.
• Use customer research experimentation analytics and sound design judgment to make informed decisions and continuously improve member outcomes.
• Contribute to the evolution of Chimes design system while establishing new patterns that scale across products.
• Raise the quality bar for design through thoughtful critique collaboration mentorship and a relentless commitment to craft.

• A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual craft polished interaction design and end-to-end product thinking across shipped consumer products. Visual excellence is a core requirement for this role.
• Extensive experience designing and shipping consumer-facing digital products for mobile and web with ownership of complex product areas from strategy through execution.
• A track record of influencing product direction through close partnership with cross-functional leaders across Product Engineering Research and Data.
• Deep expertise with Figma and modern prototyping tools with a strong understanding of design systems and scalable interaction patterns.
• Experience using customer research experimentation and product metrics to inform design decisions and iterate on solutions.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to balance member needs business objectives and technical constraints in complex environments.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and influence decisions across a wide range of stakeholders.
