Product Design Intern (2027 Start)

At Databricks we are passionate about helping data teams solve the worlds toughest problems from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the worlds best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business.

As a Product Design Intern you will join a team that works diligently to understand and solve our customers most challenging problems. You will learn how to be a successful product designer at a high-growth enterprise technology company that operates at the important intersection of data and AI. You will have a dedicated mentor and will join our 2026 intern cohort where youll connect with product managers engineers designers account teams other interns and leaders from across the company.

This is a 12-week paid summer internship program.

The impact you will have:

• Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform
• Manage your project end-to-end from discovery and ideation through final design prototype for engineering to implement from
• Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve your design

What we look for:

• Pursuing a degree in design human-computer interaction or a related field with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028
• You have excellent interaction design skills with knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability.
• You have a proven ability to efficiently build interactive prototypes leveraging the latest in AI tooling.
• You use analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyze product usage) and can conduct basic usability testing and semi-structured interviews.
• You have exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to make complex topics simple and clearly communicate nuance to partners (engineers customers field etc.) in both written and verbal form
• You are excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team
