Needham MA (Onsite)

Turn concepts into products that reach millions of people. As a Product Design Engineer II on our New Product Development team youll own mechanical design from concept through production launch balancing performance quality cost and manufacturability at every step.

Youll work from our Needham office as part of a global cross-functional team partnering daily with Design Product Development Electrical Engineering Quality Manufacturing and Supply Chain colleagues in the UK and China. If you like hard technical problems driving execution and seeing your work land in consumers hands this is that role.

• Design and develop mechanical systems components and assemblies across the full product development lifecycle.
• Own engineering deliverables from concept refinement through detailed design validation and production release.
• Build robust manufacturable designs grounded in strong engineering principles and DFMA methodology.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models drawings specifications and product documentation.
• Run engineering analysis tolerance assessments risk evaluations and trade-off studies to drive design decisions.
• Plan build and test prototypes to validate performance reliability and user experience.
• Partner with Industrial Design Electrical Engineering Software Quality and Manufacturing to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support supplier engagement and manufacturing development to ensure successful industrialization.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement fixes for technical challenges across development and testing.
• Support product verification validation and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and share engineering best practices across teams.

Youre proactive organized and results-driven an engineer who takes ownership of technical challenges and thrives on collaboration. Specifically:

• A degree in Product Design Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design Engineering.
• Mechanical or product design experience in a New Product Development environment.
• Strong command of plastics manufacturing processes and design for manufacture principles.
• Track record taking products through multiple lifecycle stages concept to production.
• High proficiency in SolidWorks Creo or comparable CAD.
• Experience planning and executing verification and validation activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured engineering approach.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.
• An appreciation for electronics software integration and user experience in consumer products.
• Nice to have: experience developing consumer products or household appliances.
