Role Overview:

The Procurement Senior Associate is responsible for supporting the sourcing procurement and contract administration of utility-scale capital equipment and engineering services for EDPR NAs wind solar and battery storage projects. This role supports the procurement planning and strategy of major electrical and balance-of-plant equipment while collaborating with Engineering Development Construction and Project Management to ensure project execution.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Support the Procurement Lead in developing sourcing strategies and competitive procurement processes for utility-scale capital equipment and engineering and construction services
  • Lead RFQs/RFPs evaluate technical and commercial proposals and recommend supplier and contractor selections
  • Build and maintain supplier and contractor relationships throughout the sourcing manufacturing and project lifecycle
  • Partner with Engineering Development Project Management Finance Construction and Estimating to support project execution
  • Negotiate pricing commercial terms schedules warranties service agreements and contracts to achieve the best overall value
  • Prepare commercial evaluations support supplier and contractor negotiations and administer contracts through execution
  • Manage procurement documentation contracts budgets milestone payments and project schedules.
  • Identify qualify and develop suppliers and contractors to support project needs
  • Coordinate construction and engineering on manufacturing schedules Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) inspections and delivery
  • Manage supplier and contractor lead times to project schedules identifying and addressing potential schedule risks
  • Monitor and manage supplier and contractor performance related to cost quality delivery and schedule.
  • Support the development and improvement of procurement processes tools templates and documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a Business-related field Engineering or Construction
  • 5 years of professional related supply chain business operations engineering construction management or industry manufacturing experience including experience with external contract negotiation for services
  • Experience with procurement contract and project management preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction and engineering services and negotiation techniques
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g. Oracle SAP)
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving Strong Communication Customer/Partner Relationships and Technology Expertise (Preferred)

  • Vision/Hearing:Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or schedule form
  • Safety:Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
