POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the organizations sourcing and vendor management activities. This role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with business objectives including building and managing RFP processes for category spend identifying and selecting vendors and leading contract negotiations to ensure favorable commercial terms. The Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with Operations PO and other key stakeholders to design reporting requirements oversee program rollouts and ensure seamless handoffs to operational teams. Additionally the role will provide vendor recommendations for new operation startups optimizing selections based on geography service needs and cost efficiency. Through proactive supplier management and process improvements the Procurement Manager will drive value mitigate risk and support sustainable growth for the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Strategic Sourcing & RFP Management
- Develop manage and execute Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for assigned category spend to ensure competitive pricing quality and service levels.
- Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities market trends and sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Ensure RFPs include comprehensive requirements evaluation criteria and timelines to support informed vendor selection.
Vendor Identification Selection & Onboarding
- Research and identify qualified vendors based on service capabilities geographic reach and alignment with operational needs.
- Lead vendor evaluation processes including capability assessments site visits reference checks and scorecard reviews.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding of new vendors ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
Contract Negotiation & Commercial Terms
- Negotiate pricing terms and service-level agreements (SLAs) to achieve optimal cost structures while maintaining quality and risk management.
- Partner with Legal and Finance teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory compliance and business requirements.
- Maintain a contract repository and track key renewal dates to avoid service gaps or unfavorable terms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations PO (People & Organization) Finance and other departments to ensure procurement strategies support business objectives.
- Provide vendor recommendations for new operational startups based on geography capabilities and projected service needs.
- Act as a liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders to address escalations and performance concerns.
Program Implementation & Handoff
- Oversee rollout of new vendor programs ensuring stakeholders are trained and operational processes are in place.
- Establish performance metrics and reporting requirements to monitor program success post-implementation.
- Ensure a seamless handoff to operational and vendor management teams while maintaining oversight of vendor performance during the transition period.
Reporting Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Provide regular updates to leadership on procurement activity cost savings and compliance metrics.
- Continuously evaluate procurement processes for efficiency gains and recommend best practices to enhance value delivery.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Finance or a related field is required.
- Masters degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g. CPSM CIPS CPM) preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in procurement strategic sourcing or supply chain management preferably in operations-driven or multi-site organizations.
- Demonstrated success in leading competitive bidding/RFP processes and managing category spend.
- Proven experience in vendor identification evaluation and contract negotiation with a track record of achieving cost savings or value improvements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Operations PO (HR) and Finance to implement procurement strategies.
- Proficiency in procurement technology platforms reporting tools and contract management systems.
- Experience supporting new operation startups through vendor selection based on geographic and operational requirements preferred.
For this position the expected base pay range is $80000.00 $110000.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience skills education certifications and geographic location in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
