Job Summary
Nexus Circular is scaling advanced recycling technology from concept to commercial reality and preparing to license that technology globally. This role is a cornerstone position responsible for translating Nexus technology into robust scalable and executable process designs that deliver safe reliable and successful plants.
This is not a traditional plant support or EPC checker role. This is an endtoend process engineering leadership role owning the process scope from early concept through startup.
What you will Own
Process engineering ownership across the full project lifecycle
Concept development (FEL0 / FEL1) scope definition (FEL2) FEED (FEL3) detailed design commissioning and startup support
Technology scaleup & translation
Work closely with technology and commercial teams to convert Nexus technology into executable process designs and licensorgrade process packages
Process scope definition & integrity
Develop and own:
o Process design basis
o Mass & energy balances
o PFDs and P&IDs
o Process simulations and operating envelopes
o Equipment process datasheets and design criteria
Licensing & EPC interface
Support development of technology packages for external customers; act as the process authority interfacing with EPC contractors and partners
Process safety & operability
Lead and participate in HAZID HAZOP LOPA relief system design and operability reviews from early project stages
Team & capability building
Establish process engineering workflows standards and best practices; mentor and grow future process engineers
Crossfunctional collaboration
Work seamlessly with controls mechanical piping CSA procurement construction commissioning operations and commercial teams

What we are looking for
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering
1015 years of experience in chemical petrochemical refining or advanced recycling
Demonstrated experience taking at least one technology/project from concept to startup
Strong handson capability with:
o Aspen Plus / Aspen HYSYS (or equivalent)
o Mass & energy balances
o PFDs P&IDs equipment sizing
Solid understanding of process safety operability and design standards (API ASME etc.)
Comfortable working in fastgrowth ambiguous environments
A builders mindset: positive collaborative accountable and ownershipdriven
Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
