SummaryWe are seeking a Process Engineer with a strong Chemistry background to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design optimization and maintenance of our manufacturing and production processes. This role requires a blend of mechanical design expertise and an understanding of process flow efficiency and safety. You will play a crucial part in improving our operational output and quality.

ResponsibilitiesOverall management for up to 25 employees. Design develop and test new mechanical systems equipment and components for process and optimize existing manufacturing and chemical processes to improve efficiency reduce waste and increase detailed process simulations material trials and modeling to predict system & material behavior and identify areas for root cause analysis on process-related failures and implement corrective with cross-functional teams including operations R&D and quality control to ensure seamless integration of new and maintain technical documentation including regulatory documents and records certifications standard operating procedures (SOPs) etc. Ensure all designs and processes comply with industry standards and safety regulatory compliance with various agencies including DEP FDA and EPAQualificationsBachelors degree in mechanical engineering Chemical Engineering or related background of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering and/or process engineering will be considered; ideal candidate would have 7-10 years. Proven experience with process design optimization and in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks) and process simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus HYSYS).Strong understanding of fluid dynamics thermodynamics heat transfer and chemical background in regulatory as regards FDA DEP EPA cGMP SQF etc and will be responsible for maintaining these programs. Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work within the United States without degree in relevant engineering Engineer (P.E.) in a specific industry (e.g. oil and gas pharmaceuticals food and beverage cosmetics additive materials to include metals and plastics).Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma related to SQF GFSI
