What Youll Do
- Lead and optimize assigned manufacturing processes to improve yield quality productivity and process stability.
- Monitor process performance analyze data trends and drive root cause investigations for quality and equipment issues.
- Design maintain and improve PLC HMI SCADA and other control systems supporting fiber manufacturing operations.
- Implement automation and process control improvements that enhance reliability efficiency and product quality.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for process automation instrumentation and equipment-related challenges.
- Partner with Operations Maintenance Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve plant performance.
- Lead continuous improvement cost reduction and capital project initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Support new product introductions process qualifications and equipment upgrades.
- Develop and maintain process documentation KPIs reporting tools and control system standards.
- Collaborate with global Prysmian engineering teams to share best practices and implement innovative manufacturing solutions.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide occasional off-hours support as needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with large data sets and making data-driven decisions
- Experience with optical fiber manufacturing (VAD OVD AVD PCVD preform manufacturing fiber draw coating or related processes) is highly preferred.
- 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing process control industrial automation or process engineering environments.
- Experience with PLC programming platforms such as Allen-Bradley Siemens or equivalent.
- Experience working with HMI SCADA industrial networks instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies such as SPC Minitab Six Sigma or similar tools.
- Familiarity with motion control systems machine vision and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience managing capital projects and leading cross-functional teams.
