Internship Term: Winter/Spring 2027 (January - April)
Commitment: Full-time
Location: Onsite in Somerville MA

The job:

• Develop and test materials settings for peak performance (speed surface quality supports etc)
• Evaluate current material setting performance to identify areas for improvement
• Design and execute experiments using results to inform and develop improvements in software or hardware
• Learn and operate high accuracy measurement equipment to validate your projects

You:

• Well-organized good time management and excellent attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Communicate test results effectively and in a timely manner
• Experience with data analysis
• Experience with experimental design
• Experience working with protocols/SOPs
• Enthusiastic and interested in 3D printing

Bonus Skills:

• Basic understanding programming and scientific computing ideally Python and/or Matlab
• Familiar with mechanical design and CAD modeling (Solidworks/OpenScad/Onshape a plus)
