Principal Technical Program Manager, Amazon Privacy

The Amazon Privacy team is on a mission to make it easy for Amazon teams to meet customer expectations and regulatory obligations when it comes to taking care of their personal data.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) for privacy governance you will define own and deliver technical programs focused on improving the builder experience for teams across Amazon. Your program will define measure track and drive builder-facing outcomes that eliminate effort while improving customer and compliance outcomes. You will partner with engineering teams in the US and Romania who own the underlying systems and tools and collaborate with them to invent new approaches with a heavy focus on leveraging GenAI.

About the team
We own software products that identify implement and monitor privacy expectations - the work needed to meet customer privacy obligations in all the marketplaces that Amazon operates. Our wider org owns privacy responsible AI and security compliance outcomes for the company with a mix of engineering product and industry specialists.


- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
