This position is in the construction equipment OEM industry and will report directly to the Engineering Manager. Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesLead the design and development of propulsion systems for heavy machinery and and review component specifications and system system-level analysis and simulations to ensure performance reliability and with cross-functional teams including mechanical electrical and controls the integration and testing of propulsion systems in prototype and production compliance with industry standards and internal engineering junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the continuous improvement initiatives in hydraulic system design and development duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.7 years of experience in propulsion systems engineering preferably in off-highway or heavy equipment in design tools and CAD software (e.g. Unigraphics NX).Understanding of thermodynamics component selection and system with system simulation tools such as AMESim MATLAB/Simulink and/or Automation with Teamcenter Engineering and engineering data management pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable QualificationsExperience with prototype development and field testing of propulsion of control systems and electro-hydraulic management experience and ability to lead cross-functional documentation and technical writing Skills Abilities & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical leadership & communication to work in a high-stress -oriented and able to work approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the to understand processes (system and non-system) troubleshoot develop and recommend working in a dynamic environment and be a self-motivated team knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Microsoft ConditionsBoth office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory to noise and temperature RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those required of an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
