Job Summary
JobDescription:TheAlternative Learning CenterAdministratorserves as the instructional/educational leader responsible for student learning personnel management scheduling emergency procedures facility operations and is accountable to meet and exceed the districts Indicators of Excellence.
Reports To:Executive Administrator of Secondary Schools
Qualifications:
- HoldMasters Degree in Administrationand Supervision from an accredited institution with a major in Education Administration or its equivalent.
- Meet State of Michigan Administrativecertificationrequirements.
- Meet teachercertification requirementsof the State of Michigan.
- Worked successfully for a period of at least (5) years in the educational field.
- Demonstrated record of improved student achievement.
- A deep understanding of curriculum and instruction.
- Exhibit an understanding of an alternative education program.
- Ability toproblem solve criticallythinkand resolvecommunity issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully support students both academically and emotionally in a non-traditional education program
- Abilityto positively influence and support a diverse student populationand school community.
Responsibilities:
- Leadsupportand supervise the implementation of theMichiganState Standardsstandards for college and career readinessand district curriculum ofhigh schoolsinall subjects.
- Support a blended learning instructional model
- Leadand supportthe use of digital learning tools including a learning management system student information system grade book and collaboration services.
- Lead and support the development of digital content and the use of assessment tools to measure student learning.
- Lead the use of real-time data about student learning to drive educational decisions
- Provide leadership in the development of the school improvement plan aligning the plan with the districts visionmissionand indicators of excellence.
- Supervisethe instructional program and evaluatethe performance of teachers.
- Lead and supervise the implementation ofresearch-basedinstructional strategies for all grade levels including students with special needsand multi-lingual learners.
- Implement in-depth and ongoing professional development to supportinstructionalstrategies.
- Monitor and assess the performance ofallstudents through data analysis.
- Align resources with goals and priorities.
- Monitor the revenue andexpendituresof the individual school.
- Attend lead supervise andparticipatein school and district activities including but not limited to graduation extracurricular activities and conferences.
- Communicate regularly with all stakeholders using a variety of media.
- Effectively lead positivelyinfluenceand support a culturallydiverse educational community.
- Create andmaintaina safe environment for all stakeholders.
- Perform such other duties as assigned.
Salaryrange: $102716.00 - $131312.00
