MAIN FUNCTION:

  • Looking for a Registered Nurse to serve as the primary point of contact for pregnant patients addressing inquiries concerns and providing emotional support.
  • Provide information on prenatal care screening tests and available resources to patients.
  • Ensure that patients understand their care plan and follow necessary steps for optimal health during pregnancy.
  • Schedule and manage prenatal appointments ultrasounds and other necessary tests for patients.
  • Send reminders and follow-ups for upcoming appointments and procedures.
  • Coordinate with various healthcare providers including obstetricians sonographers and specialists to ensure seamless care.
  • Assist patients with understanding insurance coverage and financial options for prenatal care.
  • Accurately types transcribes all documentation in a timely manner. Always proofreads work prior to distribution.
  • Promptly completes assignments in an independent manner; meets deadlines in daily responsibilities and special projects. Follows-up on patient scheduling.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers ensuring timely and clear communication of test results concerns and follow-up care.
  • Support care teams by sharing updates on patient progress and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Work closely with insurance providers if necessary to ensure patients have access to appropriate care.

EDUCATION:

  • Associates in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting particularly in prenatal care or womens health is highly preferred.
