Western National Insurance is seeking a Premium Audit Intern to join its Premium Audit team as part of the Summer 2027 Internship Program. Our company growth combined with our focus on innovation transformation and investments in the customer experience are key drivers supporting the expansion of our team. The Premium Audit Intern will provide support to a variety of projects and initiatives while playing a key role in our day-to-day operations.

Western National Internship Program Summary:

Western National provides a robust internship program designed for individuals aiming to acquire valuable experience in the insurance industry. This program not only offers practical hands-on opportunities and project work in partnership with our Premium Audit team; but interns will also have the opportunity to enhance their existing skill sets through a range of professional development activities cultivate relationships with employees and fellow interns and participate in impactful volunteer initiatives within the community.


Position Summary:

As our Premium Audit Intern you will be a key contributor not only within the Premium Audit team but across the office including departments such as Commercial Lines Underwriting and Loss Control. Possible tasks that youll assist with include:

  • Responds to audit-related inquiries from policyholders agents and internal departments
  • Assists with the intake prioritization and assignment of premium audits to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Monitors audit status and follows up on outstanding or overdue audits
  • Attends departmental meetings conferences and initiatives that promote cross-functional collaboration
  • Assist the audit team with ongoing projects
  • Learn about the Commercial Insurance industry
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements

What Youll Need to Succeed:

  • Completed two years of college preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong verbal written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with various teams and departments.
  • Interest/Experience in the Insurance Industry
  • Ability to work onsite at our corporate office in Edina MN

Compensation Overview:

The base pay offered for this position will be $20.00/hour.
