Position Summary:
The Premier Learning Systems Specialist serves as the organizations subject matter expert for the Premier Model and On Target Program ensuring the instructional framework is implemented with fidelity and consistency across all campuses and learning environments. This role designs and delivers engaging virtual and in-person professional learning onboarding coaching and technical assistance for teachers Campus Directors and Regional Directors across a multi-state network using evidence-based adult learning practices to build staff capacity.
Through ongoing support implementation monitoring and data-informed continuous improvement the Specialist promotes instructional consistency strengthens educator effectiveness and advances student achievement. Serving as the primary liaison between campuses and the Leadership Team this position oversees the implementation of the On Target Program while maintaining high-quality instructional resources systems and professional learning experiences that support the mission of Premier High Schools and TexasWorks.
Education/Certification:
Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred)
- Must meet Highly Qualified (HQ) requirements
- Additional certification or endorsements (preferred)
Experience:
- 5 years teaching experience (Premier Model preferred)
- 3 years related skills experience
- 3 years related management experience
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Mastery of Individualized Pedagogy: Deep expert-level comprehension of self-directed mastery-based learning matrices and adult learning principles.
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Identify emerging professional development needs and address gaps in knowledge and procedure responsively and efficiently. Utilize student performance data to develop intervention blueprints that offer actionable solutions aligned with the PHS/TXW mission.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead cross-departmental tasks and resolve multi-campus alignment needs. Exemplary oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to diverse stakeholders including district leadership and campus staff.
- Agility & Workload Management: Comfort balancing and managing complex multi-site workloads and special projects split between administrative strategy and direct site-visit implementation. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and maintain strict timelines.
- Virtual Instruction: Demonstrated expertise in facilitating engaging virtual professional development for adults.
Primary Duties:
1. Cross-Brand Systems Architecture & Integration
- Synchronize Core Learning Systems: Standardize the deployment configurations and optimization of cross-district instructional platforms inclusive of BrightThinker Buzz LMS SkywardQ etc.
- Bridge the Pedagogical Core: Design clear workflows and user interfaces that accommodate the operational variances between traditional high schoolers and adult learners (including self-guardianship protocols credit-recovery paths and specialized flexible attendance logic). Own the maintenance and refinement of the PHS/TXW Teacher Playbook ensuring all content remains current with 2026/27 standards.
- Data Fidelity & Systems Audits: Lead robust data-disaggregation routines to compile predictive metrics for executive leadership including quarterly priority meeting presentations verifying that software usage directly translates to accelerated pacing and measurable course completions. Conduct site visits and provide targeted custom training to campuses as determined by the Leadership Teams approval process.
2. Execution of the High-Impact PD & Coaching Framework
- Deploy Cascading Training Models: Oversee the master strategy for New Teacher Induction and recurring virtual open-attendance PD series (minimum 1x/month). Manage the full cycle of these events including: coordination with the training department slide creation rehearsed delivery and follow-up.
- Build Principal/Director Capacity: Equip Regional Directors (RDs) and Campus Directors (CDs) with calibrated observational rubrics and explicit data-driven protocols to target underperforming instructional staff. Provide Campus Directors with guidance on supporting low-performing teachers and foster continuous improvement in program delivery.
- Establish Actionable Evidence Protocols: Partner with leadership to develop and execute instructional rounds plans tailored for PHS/TXW priority schools. Maintain the resource infrastructure and feedback loops required to track long-term professional development efficacy across the districts. Manage and curate a comprehensive resource library. Ensure all sessions are recorded transcribed (using AI/Gemini notes) and organized for future teacher and instructional staff reference.
3. Instructional Executive Leadership: On-Target Virtual Program & Other Special Projects as assigned
- Direct Virtual Operations: Assume accountability for the daily operations instructional pacing and regulatory compliance of the On Target Virtual Program.
- Monitor Instruction with Rigor: Implement accountability guardrails ensuring On Target students hit accurate daily/weekly progress targets maintaining a strict emphasis on student engagement and instructional time parameters.
- Audit Compliance Tracking: Partner directly with PEIMS and Special Program departments to ensure virtual attendance tracking Special Education accommodations and 504 tracking mirror state legal expectations.
Physical / Environmental Factors:
- Work Location: Operating primarily out of the Central/Corporate Office framework with regular proactive travel to physical campuses to conduct field validations and regional workshops.
- Environmental Needs: High volume of screen time; capability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally; comfort navigating standard educational spaces.
