Orthopedic Ambulatory Clinic Onsite Monday Friday

We are seeking a friendly organized and patient-focused Practice Assistant to join our fast-paced Orthopedic Ambulatory this highly visible patient-facing role you will be an essential part of our team helping ensure patients feel welcomed informed and supported throughout their visits.

What Youll Do:

- Serve as the first point of contact for patients providing a welcoming and professional experience throughout check-in and check-out.
- Coordinate patient appointments schedule follow-up visits answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Verify patient demographics insurance information referrals and clinical documentation while maintaining accurate records in Epic.
- Collect co-payments assist with patient forms and portal enrollment and coordinate patient visits with radiology and casting services as needed.
- Keep patients informed of appointment delays and collaborate with clinical staff to support an efficient patient experience.
- Support daily practice operations including preparing patient charts scanning medical records managing correspondence and maintaining an organized front desk.
- Serve as an Epic resource for scheduling registration and billing providing guidance to colleagues as needed. Training is provided!


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 23 years of office experience required; experience in healthcare or a customer service-driven environment is welcomed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with standard office procedures and technology.
  • Strong communication organizational multitasking and time management skills.
  • A patient-first mindset with the ability to remain professional adaptable and attentive in a busy clinical setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients providers and administrative colleagues while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
