Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Supportdevelopmentand integration of theengineengine hardwareand electric drive units
• Contribute to the creation and execution of hardware DVPsfor engines and electric drive units including prototype through production sample planning for each stage of development.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams suppliers and vehicle testing groups to develop and execute comprehensive test plans that ensure powertrain hardware meets performance targets including durability NVH safety and emissions under all operating conditions.
• Support and author test procedures and publish as Scout engineering standard.
• Development of Scout powertrain requirements derived from vehicle-level specifications followed by formal documentation of these requirements within the Scout systems.
• Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence serving as a technical resource and subject matter contributor for powertrain systems and validation practices.

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location inNovi Michigan.
• This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and events.
• Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

• Bachelors orMasters degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Demonstrated expertise in powertrain fundamentals with hands-on experience in engine dynamometer development validation and calibration testingincluding test specifications and setups.
• 7years ofexperience as a developmentand/or validationengineer supportingengine and drive unitprojectsfrominitialdevelopment through to production.
• Experienced in using industry-standard vehicle and dynamometer data acquisition and analysis tools such as INCA and Vector along with hands-on expertiseenginein engine instrumentationincluding strain gauges and thermocouplesfor both vehicle and test cell applications.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical peers without direct authority.
• Strong interpersonal skills including accountability self-motivation problem solving analytical thinking succinct communication and ability to develop & mutually thrive in working relationships.
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Direct experience with internal combustion engines engine hardware and drive unitapplications

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $110000.00 - $135000.00
