What youll do:
Youll be based out of our Sayreville NJ service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle
Youll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends and there is a potential for travel
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators diesel engines electrical distribution equipment and/or oil free air compressors
Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs
You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

What youll do:

Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs
You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites
You are:
High School diploma/GED
1-3 years of experience working on power generators equipment performing inspections maintenance and repairs.
Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements along with reading and knowing schematics.
Based on the customer requirements you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
Valid drivers license
Ability to move or lift objects typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements
Availability to work the assigned schedule travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
Must be able to stand walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items functional hand-eye coordination and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment which includes being able to lift (60 lbs) push/pull (80 lbs) carry (60 lbs) climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs) stoop kneel and squat
